Death no longer has any power! Jesus has officially broken the power of sin, death and the devil.
Verse 8 – Then they remembered his words!
Isn’t it so true that God can speak to us but we just don’t hear what he is saying…until it clicks for whatever reason. One of my prayers is that each of us might experience some “clicking” over these 52 days as we continue to seek him with all our hearts.
Verse 31 – Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him…
Verse 45 – Then he opened their minds so they could understand the scriptures…
Jesus has finished what he came to do. He has taught and demonstrated what it means for God’s reign/kingdom to break out on earth as it is in heaven – full of love and compassion through healings, miracles, signs, and his teaching which came with authority and revelation. He has lived a perfect life as an obedient and loving servant and has followed this all the way through to his death and resurrection.
But now we are about to move into phase two. In John 16 Jesus says it is better that he should leave because he is going to send a helper.
Verse 49 – I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high .
May God give each of us revelation and understanding over these next 28 days to hear and understand what this promise means for us TODAY.

Hi everyone, I'm just dropping by to say I'm on the walk with you, even though you haven't heard from me.
I have been reading the blogs with great interest. I had already read the Baker's book in one hit, but have been going back to every page where I had highlighted revelations and insights - which basically is on every page!
Whilst I'm very interested in the blog and am taking part in the reading, I've chosen not to write at this stage - I'd have so much to share and take too much time trying to articulate the kaleidoscope of insights and revelations for myself personally which I'm getting from many directions in my other readings, reflections, intercession, and many new relationships and experiences, parallel to reading Luke, Acts and the Bakers. It's all too intertwined in my spirit to be able to write down briefly / clearly enough for anyone to understand. My prayer is that it would be lived and acted out in my life rather than for me personally in time spent struggling to articulate it.
Bless you all, you precious brothers and sisters of mine!
Love from Louise.

Thanks for your comment Louise. Great to hear from you and thanks for your encouraging words. For anyone else who is reading this blog and has not commented (for whatever reason) but would like to, just choose "other" as your identity and then you don't have to set up a "blogger" account.
If you feel like you have to have something "wise and profound" to say before contributing, please try not feel this way as this might stop you from commenting at all :)
Feel free to just write a sentence or two and keep it simple and achievable.
I know we have been doing this for 24 days now and the intial buzz or motivation might be wearing off, but I encourage all of you to persevere, especially as we begin reading through the book of Acts.
HI Louise ... lovely to 'hear' from you on here, and thank you for articulating so eloquently where you are at:
My prayer is that it would be lived and acted out in my life rather than for me personally in time spent struggling to articulate it.
Right on, Sister! x
Right on sisters!!
